On Tuesday, 8th March 2016, PAC congratulates all of the women representing PAC on this International Women’s Day. We thank you for all that you do for the company, and the leadership and inspiration you show to your co-workers every day in your endeavors.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. IWD observances started back in 1909, and for many years (since 1977), it has also been commemorated by the United Nations with a focus on women’s rights and world peace.
To recognize this Day more formally, PAC has made a Tribute Gift in the name of the women of The PAC Group to the Malala Fund. The Malala Fund is inspired by Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai; and aims to raise girls voices and ensure every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, quality primary and secondary education. This Fund is currently benefitting young students in Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone as well as Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon. Malala Yousafzai is the now-18-year-old Pakistani activist working toward the goal of education for all females, and she is the youngest ever Nobel Prize winner.
